dc.description.abstract | The Ministry of Health has instituted measures to accelerate the reduction of morbidity and mortality through the implementation of the first Health Sector Transformation Plan (HSTP-I) from 2016 to 2020 with other strategies that helped to translate the plan into action. As a result, the large-scale efforts to improve the health of the population and increase access to and utilization of health services have succeeded in saving millions of lives and preserving the livelihoods and social fabric of the population. Although enormous progress has been made in Maternal and child health services including improvement of skilled birth attendance, Ethiopian women are still facing complications of pregnancy and childbirth. | en_US |
