Knowledge, practice and associated factors toward neonatal resuscitation among nurses and midwifes in South Wollo governmental hospitals, Northeast Ethiopia, 2018

Abstract

The neonatal period is the most vulnerable time for child’s survival because of the highest mortality and morbidity. One quarters of the global neonatal mortality is attributed to asphyxia; the highest burden of which is disproportionately concentrated in low and middleincome countries including Ethiopia. Poor resuscitation due to incompetent health care provider contributed significantly to this asphyxia related mortality and morbidity.
