dc.description.abstract The first 12 month following delivery are known as the extended postpartum period, which is effective way for lowering maternal and child morbidity and mortality by preventing unplanned pregnancy and maximizing the birth space. The most effective method of birth control for preventing unwanted pregnancy during postpartum period is long-acting reversible contraceptive. Despite the efforts to increase the use of modern contraceptives, particularly long-acting reversible contraception in extended postpartum period has still low uptake in Ethiopia. en_US
