dc.description.abstract Pain is a stressful experience that invariably affects all age groups. But the pain in children is usually underestimated and undertreated mainly because of their inability to express rightly their feelings to the caregivers as well as to their physicians. Objective: This study aimed to Assess Prevalence and associated factors of pain among children and adolescents from 1 month to 15 years admitted to Pediatric Emergency at UOGCSH, Northwest Ethiopia. Methods: Institutional based cross-sectional study was conducted from April1, 2022 to June 30, 2022 G.C among children and adolescents admitted to UOGCSH Pediatrics Emergency .About 280 study participants were selected by systematic random sampling Structured, pretested and interviewer-administered questionnaire was used to collect the data. The data was entered using EPidata version 4.6 and exported to STATA version 14.0 for analysis of the result. The variables found to be statistically significant in the binary logistic regression analysis were entered into multivariable logistic regression model and statistical significance of P<0.05 was used for the final model. Odds ratios with 95% confidence interval is used to determine the strength of association between dependent and independent variables. Results are presented with texts, tables and graphs. Result: Two hundred eighty Conclusion: The prevalence of pain was very high but there was no objective assessment and documentation of pain. Key words: Children, adolescent, pain en_US
