dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of this study was to assess the provision of counseling service in Gondar town . secondary schools. It is designed to study the application of the services provided by school counselors and to investigate major problems hinder the service from progress in facilitation the learning teaching process. The study was conducted using a survey design from eight secondary schools using · questionnaires for counselor's teachers and students while structured interviews were conducted with directors and counselors. The total number of respondents sampled was 526 of which 440 students by using stratified and cluster random sampling,' 70 teachers were selected by using proportional random sampling , 8 counselors and 8 directors were selected by using comprehensive sampling. Statistical ~echniques such as frequency miil. percentage •• were used to analyze. the data. The outcome of the data analysis revealed significant demand of the counseling services among users and teachers. | en_US |
